Quick Bread Recipe - Be A Flash
Breadmaker

While the American quick bread recipe is quiet more similar to a plumcake, the equivalent Italian recipe is a true example of how to make a good and tasty piece of bread without waiting too much.

There are many benefits in using this recipe: it's easy and quick to made, cheaper and obviously 100% homemade. So, if you can't live without the big holes of its texture, prepare yourself to make a crispy and savoury piece of Italian bread.

Ingredients for three small loaves of bread

  • 20.1 oz all purpose flour
  • 12.3 oz warm water
  • 0,40 oz fresh yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey (or malt or sugar)

Preparation

Step 1: Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water and 1 teaspoon of honey, then put the flour in a bowl and add the previously dissolved yeast and the water.

Step 2: Stir quickly using a fork, then add salt and keep stiring: the dough will be soft and sticky, but not yet smooth. Now, sprinkle the surface with flour, cover with a damp cloth (you may use a plastic wrap too) and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour and half.

Step 3: To complete the quick bread recipe sprinkle some flour on a pastry board, then use a spatula to transfer the dough on the pastry board, being careful to let facing up the floured side.

Step 4: Divide the dough into three parts, shape them and transfer them into a baking pan, then cover them with a greaseproof paper.

Step 5: Preheat the oven, then bake into it at 450° F for 30 minutes, until it'll golden on its top. Your bread is now ready to be served!
